Stitching for Peace and LoveBring your needles and your hooks and come stitch with some awesome people.

We will be having TWO meetings in August!

Saturday, August 5, from 11 am – 12:30 pm and
Thursday, August 17, from 5 to 6:30 pm

Bring your needles and your hooks and come stitch with some awesome people.

Join us as we continue to make 6″ x 6″ squares (knitted or crocheted). This project is a perfect opportunity to learn a new stitch as well as to learn more about measuring gauge. Squares will be sewn together to make a blanket and/or scarves. Please use worsted weight yarn. (We have plenty at Shakti.)

We also invite folks to make scarves and hats for the Little Food Pantry.

> Sneak Peek: In September we will learn how to knit or crochet the “knockers” so in October we can have gifts for breast cancer survivors.

Feel free to use the books on hand at Shakti or go to this link to get new stitch ideas. As always, there will be folks on hand to support your learning. New folks and beginners are always welcomed.

Love donations are greatly appreciated but not required. What is most important is being in community. Free Community Event. Love Donation Encouraged. Co-ed. Everyone Welcome.
