Restorative Yoga and Meditation (Online) @ Virtual Community
Mar 30 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

In this ONLINE class, you will learn:

  • yoga poses that best support you
  • the qualities of the 7 major chakras and how to use those energies to heal
  • to connect with your wise self and listen to the wisdom of your body

Class is on Mondays. See event calendar for more details.

Community Play Time: Happy Hour Gardening, DIY Creative Endeavors and Open Hours @ Shakti in the Mountains | Johnson City | Tennessee | United States

Join us, rain or shine, and experience the joy of being in community.

Some days we will have special projects or have special events, and you are always welcome to:

  • tend to the plants
  • work with the harvest from the garden (preserving food, making plant medicine, cooking)
  • participate in a community art project
  • bring your own creativity project (sewing, knitting, crafting, jewelry making)

During the month of April, Caro Dellenbaugh will be offering a Poetry Dive and Sound Bath:

In the first hour, Caro will guide us into poetry diving based on Kim Rosen’s book Saved by A Poem.

We will nourish our souls by finding the medicine we need in a few lines of poetry. Bring your journal or drawing pad and writing implements, and if you wish, a favorite poem or book of poetry. I will bring poem cards and poetry books. We will invite our souls to dance and move or write and draw or simply reread the words that speak our truth for today and let the tears slip down our cheeks.

We will lay down for a sound bath for the last 45 minutes.

You are welcome to come for either or both activities, or weather permitting, play outside in the garden.

Note: CPT will not be held Friday, April 10.

Honoring the Goddess Within @ Shakti in the Mountains
Apr 19 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Your lantern is lit and your journey into the woods begins. As you walk deeper into the night, you see glowing lights, hear laughter and drumming, and feel an energy pulling you closer and closer. There is a sense of homecoming.

Long ago, women had a place to go. A place to be with other women, to share wisdom, to heal, and ultimately, to empower one another. This space was sacred. Our goal is to create a sacred place where you are welcomed, encouraged and held while you share your story, speak your truth and honor your path.

During Honoring the Goddess Within, you will experience ritual, have opportunities to create, and be encouraged to listen to your intuition. This circle is confidential and is for women who are able to give and to receive compassion, understanding and empathy.

In respect for this journey, we ask that no one walk in late. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to give yourself time to settle into the space.

Cost is $25 per circle. Circles are held on the third Sunday and are three hours.
Registration is needed. Register at http://bit.ly/F19RedTentHC

This circle is co-facilitated by Jennifer Hill and Kim Bushore-Maki.

Jennifer Hill

Jennifer Hill is a New Jersey transplant who loves to cook, who attempts to keep houseplants alive, and who has a love of farm animals, especially cows and goats. She also has a fondness of crystals that goes back to childhood. Check out her crystal page at Mountain Moon Crystals.

Jennifer has a passion for painting and loves to watch the canvas come to life. She also enjoys holding space with like-minded people and working with others for a better tomorrow.

Kim Bushore Maki, the founder of Shakti in the Mountains, is supporting and building a healthy, vibrant community. She guides retreats, teaches yoga, and provides one-on-one services for women who want an immersion experience into the life-affirming, Shakti energy. New Moon Circle (Online) @ Virtual Community
Apr 19 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

You are invited to gather in a sacred online new moon circle for women.

Reconnect with your Wise Self, open to the magic that lies within and use your intuition to tune into your soul’s call.

Receive support from other women as you practice setting intentions during the dark of the moon.

This circle is a space to share your dreams as well as your fears. This circle respects confidentiality, prohibits advice-giving, and offers compassion.

I encourage you to join this circle with an open heart, a journal, and to take time to set a sarcred space for yourself before each circle so that you might fully be present.

SCHEDULE
March 22, April 19, May 17, and June 21.
We will meet at 8 pm. Circles are $13/each.

Please feel free to join us for one or all of these circles!

The circles meet online (using a private Zoom conferencing link).
Pre-registration is required for all circles and you will receive your login information by email 24 hours in advance.

  • hang out

All ages and genders welcome.

May 17 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Kim’s training as a therapist and yoga teacher allows her to safely and compassionately guide women on a heart-centered journey to Self, where women re-connect with their beautiful, authentic spirit.

New Moon Circle (Online) @ Virtual Community
May 17 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Receive support from other women as you practice setting intentions during the dark of the moon.

This circle is a space to share your dreams as well as your fears. This circle respects confidentiality, prohibits advice-giving, and offers compassion.

I encourage you to join this circle with an open heart, a journal, and to take time to set a sarcred space for yourself before each circle so that you might fully be present.

  • the qualities of the 7 major chakras and how to use those energies to heal
  • to connect with your wise self and listen to the wisdom of your body

Class is on Mondays. See event calendar for more details.
