Peter Broderick, Rock Sway Conceptual Land Use

Discussion of the importance of capturing water in the ground, to prevent chemical runoff into our watersheds, erosion, flooding, and to assist with replenishing our groundwater in times of drought. We will go over some functional designs that can assist with this need such as rain gardens, terraces, swales, as well as some simple steps one can take to slow water down and allow it to penetrate the ground.

Co-ed. Registration and masks are required. Limited to 20 people.


Peter (Rock) Broderick

Peter (Rock) Broderick started out as a landscaper in Seattle, WA where he was introduced to rain gardens. There he took a training to meet requirements set forth by the city as a standard to reduce watershed pollution. He has since, completed an internship at Spiral Ridge Permaculture, in Summertown, TN and taken multiple Earthworks courses learning many methods to capture and work with water.

At present, Peter started his business, as a landscaper, focusing on water management and infrastructure around drainage, capture, erosion, and flood prevention. He resides in Summertown, TN at The Farm where he continues to develop new creative ways to holster our most precious resource.
