The Moon and the Telling: An Evening of Storytelling
Across our lives, across the planet, and across human time, there has been the ever-presence of the moon–our shared legacy, our shared future. And the moon shows up in our stories in a surprising range of ways–wise or playful, mysterious or comforting. What has the moon shown in your life?
And what better way to connect to each other in swirling uncertain times than by bundling up outdoors together and sharing an orbit for a time with moon-themed storytelling, told in the light of the full, full November moon? You won’t want to miss this transcendental story program spun by some of the diverse and talented ETSU master’s candidates for Communication and Storytelling Studies.
All proceeds of this event will go to support The River, the only day shelter in Johnson City that supports women. Tickets are $15-20, sliding scale. If you wish to donate more than the sale of a ticket, please do!
Please bring camp chairs and blankets to sit under the full moon. Hot tea will be available. In the event of rain, we will meet inside. Masks are required. Limited space. Co-ed.
