On November 15, during Community Play Time from 4 pm to 6 pm, Artisans’ Village will be on hand with some of their newest and most beautiful, fair-trade items for sell.
Here are the four main groups that will be represented at the event.
- Jewelry: Thai Village from Chiang Mai Thailand. Works directly with local village population, offering skills training and community while providing sustainable work from home opportunities.
- Purses: Sak Saum from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Working with survivors of prostitution and human trafficking. Offers place of healing and community for those at risk.
- Sari Goods: Prokritee in Bangldesh. Offers sustainable work opportunities to at risk women.
- Scarves: Sevya in India. Working with at risk women and survivors of the slave trade.
Artisans’ Village is donating their fair-trade coffee for us to serve and Kim is making cookies!
