Happy Juneteenth! I celebrate the emancipation of enslaved people and the ending of slavery in the United States. I hope each person who reads these words feels free, safe, and loved. I also acknowledge that everyone feels free, safe, or loved. May we never assume that everyone experiences freedom and may we all work toward the day when everyone does.

I am out of the office this week attending a training at the Somatic Nature Connection Institute in Colorado. I will be back in time to celebrate the Summer Solstice on June 21. This annual Shakti celebration is an opportunity to acknowledge the new season (and schedule), eat delicious food (potluck dinner starts at 5 pm), and gather with wonderful humans. Come early, if you wish, for a solstice-themed Makerspace (2 to 5 pm) and stay after the meal for a ritual.

While I am out in nature, I invite you to learn more about some of the talented and wonderful women who have therapeutic practices at Shakti in the Mountains. Please contact them directly to learn more or to schedule a session with them.

I also invite you to download the one-page printable Shakti Summer Schedule and to share it with friends. We have a few new facilitators as well as some new events. I look forward to playing with you!

Wishing everyone a beautiful week!
